St. Clair County Housing Symposium

DESCRIPTION

The St. Clair County Housing Symposium is a one-day conference aimed at communicating the scope of homelessness to county residents, stakeholders, service providers, business owners, and decision makers; touching on both the economic cost and the human cost of housing insecurity.

Conference Highlights:

  • Keynote Address: Iain Dejong, Orgcode Consulting http://orgcode.nationbuilder.com/
  • Opening Remarks: Mike Wendling, St. Clair County Prosecutor
  • Plenary Session: facilitated by Mike McCartan
  • Panel discussion and break-out sessions

Registration:

  • Register on-line by August 25th – $20.00
  • Day-of registration – $30.00
  • Registration fee includes cost of lunch and conference materials

Event Details:

  • Check-in/ Registration will begin at 8:30am on Thursday, September 7th
  • Welcome and Opening Remarks will begin promptly at 9:00am
  • A simple lunch will be provided to attendees
  • Attendees will have be able to select to attend two of the following break-out sessions:
  1. Veteran Homelessness
  2. Scattared-Site Model: A new way to shelter
  3. Community Cost of Homelessness
  4. Iain DeJong: An opportunity to go in deapth with our keynote speaker
